But jet-lag didn't appear to be part of Rita Ora's vocabulary as she positively dazzled in two daring PVC dresses at an intimate London gig.
Looking fresh-faced and fabulous despite having only just jetted into the capital following her recent stint in Los Angeles, the 22-year-old singer cut a glamorous figure in her striking Natalia Kaut scarlet form-fitting midi-dress.
Featuring daring mesh detailing, the stunning garment's intricate swirls were all that protected the Hot Right Now singer's modesty as she took to the stage.
Rita teamed her striking dress with a slick of ruby red lipstick and matching nail polish, while wearing her platinum blonde hair extensions teased into perfect Hollywood curls.
The star completed her ensemble with a simple gold 'Rita' necklace and towering black strappy sandals that added height to her frame.
Heading to the stage, Rita then changed into a different PCV dress in the same style, featuring a more performance-friendly skater skirt.
And in spite of her positively stunning look, the singer bemoaned to the audience that she hadn't had time to get ready properly.
She said: 'I've come straight from the airport so I haven't had time to sort my hair out.'
Rita also opened up to the intimate crowd about her 'surreal' last 12 months, which has seen her find love with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
She explained: 'This past year has been the most surreal part of my life since I've been alive. But it's pretty awesome and I'm so excited that I get to do a second album.'
Meanwhile, the Kosovan-born beauty seemed thrilled to be greeted with a surprise in her dressing room prior to taking to the stage in the form of a friend's baby.
Just a mere matter of hours before her gig at the Sony Headquarters in Kensington, Rita was spotted bidding a tender farewell to her We Found Love hitmaker beau as she headed to LAX Airport to fly back to London.
Wrapping her arms around her man lovingly, the star looked the picture of happiness as she beamed with delight at Calvin before the smitten couple said their goodbyes.
